Some people don’t know what role playing means. RPG stands for role play games, which are games where players take on a role, embody a character, or adopt a special personality closely related with the medieval world. These characters are usually wizards, magicians, warriors, clerics, sorcerers, or explorers, with each character having his or her own unique powers and abilities.

Tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons inspired the creation of RPG's games, where players take on roles that they continue to develop as the game goes on, in order to achieve success with missions and reach their final goal.

However, there are also a wide range of types of role play, since this genre can be very broad and diverse and a single game may blend together elements of fantasy, action, and strategy.

There are action RPG videogames such as Diablo, a team game where after selecting your hero, you will try to complete missions by defeating the forces of evil and reaching new levels in order to unlock new skills.

There are also RPG puzzle videogames, such as Block Story, a game that is very similar to Minecraft but in an RPG version.
