An introduction to Design Software

“A picture is worth a thousand words” is an expression that is used quite often to describe current situations, but is it really true?

Graphic design has existed since prehistoric times with some of the first pieces being found as paintings inside of caves. It has since taken form to now where computers can participate, and in many cases control, this creative process through the software that we’ve created for several different uses: Drawing and editing pictures with graphic design software or working with other artistic software such as a collage maker more easy to use software like a screenshot capture application, for example.

3D modeling software is the sector that has seen more innovation in the last years because it has had much development on top of technology that already exists, the 3D printer!

But what is Graphic Design?

To answer this question, we must first describe the three words that make up its definition:

Image: is the graphic composition that designers create.

Space: It’s how all of the elements in the space are organized.

Type: is the place where the graphic composition is implanted: a page, poster, boarding, etc.

Graphic Design is the art of communication throughout the images, type and space elements.
