Your next assignment is due tomorrow. You've procrastinated for weeks and now you're running out of time. To make matters worse, there's this new YouTube video that everyone is raving about so you go and click on it. After you watch that video then there's a link to another video from one of your favorite subscribers so you watch that one too. It's so funny that you have to tell your Facebook friends about it. This becomes a never ending cycle until finally you decide to take a nap and finish the assignment in the morning. Only problem is, you sleep through your early alarm and you end up showing up with something that was thrown together in the car.
Often times when we are trying to get things done, we find ourselves distracted by everything imaginable. For situations like this CinemaDrape can help you. As its name suggests, CinemaDrape blacks/blocks out your distractions and immerses you in the task at hand. It is similar to the effect that movie theaters use by providing a large colorful screen surrounded by a thick black border. In this case, your selected area on your computer acts as your "screen" and the blocked out/blacked out area surrounding the screen acts as your "border." This allows you to focus more than you could ever before, unless of course you have your smartphone nearby.
Using CinemaDrape is very easy. Once you start the application, the entire screen will go black. Don't panic, this is absolutely normal. In fact, on your first time opening the application, you will be presented with a pop up box that explains CinemaDrape. You can then choose to continue to show that window or disable it so that it does not pop back up in the future. You won't be able to see anything because the screen will be completely blacked out. To see your screen so that you can find the area in which you need to view, simple hold down the shift button. This will apply a transparency to the black screen so that you can see wherever you need to select.
CinemaDrape, by default, blacks out any area of the screen that is not selected; however, you can select multiple areas on your screen and view them at once. CinemaDrape also allows you to easily move and resize your viewing areas so that you can have the perfect view to better stay focused on the tasks at hand.
One of the great things about CinemaDrape is that you are not limited to the black screen. You can change the screen to any color that you see fit and apply a transparency effect on it in case you do not want to completely ignore what's behind the screen. CinemaDrape is perfect for viewing videos that do not have an option to be viewed in full screen mode or for videos that lose a substantial amount of quality in full screen mode. Instead, just place a screen around it and you're good to go.
Get focused with CinemaDrape.
