Last Updated: 2019-09-08 21:16:15
Making video games is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. Out of the entertainment industry, video games are the form of entertainment that requires the most diverse skillset. You'll need a ton of programming, modeling, animation, and design knowledge to create a great game by yourself. However, Dead Deer aims to change that by making everything much more accessible.
The installation sequence for Dead Deer is incredibly straightforward and easy to do should you have installed anything before. Booting the program up will reveal a very simple interface. The main window is your work area, and on the right is a toolbar. At the top are the usual options for saving the files and etcetera.
If you've worked with similar modeling programs like Maya, you'll notice that there are a ton of new categories that don't usually exist, some of which are specifically aimed towards programming. Most tools need to be selected and only work while active, so no accidental errors occur. There's also a massive context menu, that provides quick access to creating objects and various operations for face, vertex or mesh, morphing, texture mapper, and more.
The program also grants you access to a ton of learning material if you want to script some complex interactions, cutting out a ton of personal busywork for you. Furthermore, there's a ton of options to create highly detailed objects that are at your disposal, with advanced lighting tools and texture effects for transparency. All in all, Dead Deer gives you a ton of ways to create games and is more user-friendly than most program.
