Whatever their reputation is at the time of your reading this, it's undeniable that Blizzard Entertainment has created some legendary games in the past. Starcraft and Warcraft defined the RTS genre to this day, and Diablo 2 is legendary to the point that it's still being compared to modern hack and slash looters. Well,l recently, they've released these legendary games for completely free on their website. Today, we'll look at Diablo 2.

To install Diablo 2, simply run the installer.

This game consists almost exclusively of killing monsters to gain gear and experience points. There is definitely a story to follow - which I recommend as there is incredibly deep lore. However, the main draw is definitely creating a build and making your character as powerful as possible. Every single one of the different classes has their own different playstyles. For example, the Barbarian can build around his Whirlwind skill, Frenzy skill, Berserk, Leap Attack, and even just build to maximize gold find in multiplayer games. That isn't even all the popular builds for it - and there are five different characters with that many different playstyles.

The other main draw is the multiplayer. As previously stated, there are builds specifically built to enhance the party's overall effectiveness. You won't find something like that in its more modern sequel, and that's why so many people still love this game to this day.

Overall, Diablo 2 holds up incredibly well. If you're a fan of the action RPG genre, you definitely shouldn't miss out on this classic game.
