Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction Classic

Whatever their reputation is at the time of your reading this, it's undeniable that Blizzard Entertainment has created some legendary games in the past. Starcraft and Warcraft defined the RTS genre to this day, and Diablo 2 is legendary to the point that it's still being compared to modern hack and slash looters. Well,l recently, they've released these legendary games for completely free on their website. Today, we'll look at Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction.

To install Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction, simply run the installer.

The base Diablo 2 game was already fantastic in terms of build diversity, but this expansion added on to that and made it easier to get maxed out. More importantly, they added two new characters, both of which have their own insane amount of playstyles. The assassin can set down traps, stealth around with shadow magic, set down traps, or just flat out punch people out with enhanced martial arts. The druid can harness the elemental powers of the Earth and Sky, calling down tornados, summon animals to support him in combat, or shape shift to become an animal with its own unique moveset.

These two new classes add a ton of replayability and diversity to the already massive Diablo 2. This expansion also features chapter 5 of the story as well as add other new mechanics like runes. If you liked the original Diablo 2, there's absolutely no reason not to play Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction. It's a fantastic expansion on an already fantastic game, and you shouldn't miss out.
