In the age of the internet, audio editing has become more and more important. Whether it be for youtube videos, podcasts, or home musicians, you'll need a strong audio editing program to help you optimize your work. The ever stubbornly lowercase ocenaudio is a fantastic choice! It's less intimidating than some of its peers but still incredibly powerful.

Compared to other audio editing programs, the interface is a lot less intimidating. Your currently open files are on the left, and the selected one apepars as a waveform. Unlike other free audi oeditors, it has proper axes rather than a basic volume slider. That gives you a lot more accuracy when it comes to how loud you want it to be.

Most free audio editors only let you cut and clip tracks, but ocenaudio also allows you to copy and paste sections of the audio and apply various effects and filters. Copying and pasting only takes a few seconds and all the filtering and encoding takes a tiny bit of resources in the background. In fact, this program is incredibly lightweight in terms of resources as a whole - far less than others.

While it does come loaded with a ton of features, there are a few downsides.  It isn't open source. That means that unlike its fellow competitor Audacity, you can't customize it to your heart's content if it doesn't suit your purposes. That's one of the only downsides, though, and ocenaudio is otherwise a very solid program for you to use!
