GoldWave 6.41

There are a ton of digital audio editing programs out there for download. They're incredibly important for anybody working with audio, whether they're freelance voice actors, budding music artists, or simply someone in charge of audio mixing. With all that in mind, it's important to get the right audio editing software to properly do your job, and do it well. Since it's so difficult to pick one out of the veritable sea of software out there, I can recommend GoldWave to assist you in your endeavors.

On bootup, GoldWave's interface looks like a throwback back to the earliest days of software. It's ugly, but practical and gets the job done extremely well. Anybody who worked with audio programs before will recognize the tracks and lines. One complaint I have is that the control bar is filled wholly with icons instead of text - this makes it more difficult to pick up as you would have to hover over each icon to know what they're supposed to do. 

Rather than having its control bar in the main window, however, it includes a separate window completely. This leaves the main interface uncluttered and makes it easy to use. There are a ton of options for volume, balance, and speed, with more features available to be added via plugins. One of the best parts of GoldWave is the ability to select chunks of audio and apply edits only to those segments. Anybody in the business of working with audio should take a look at this program, and give it a download!
