In the age of the internet, audio editing has become more and more important. Whether it be for youtube videos, podcasts, or home musicians, you'll need to edit the audio to give it a professional feel that many others don't have. While there are plenty of powerful audio editors out there, you'll find that even a small, simpler, and admittedly weaker one like MP3DirectCut still does the job well.

MP3DirectCut's installation sequence is incredibly simple - just execute it and select where you want to install it. A one time only configuration panel will also pop up, letting you select the language and whether or not to enable portable mode, which stores all settings into the folder itself. Once that's done, it will never pop up again, but you can alter it any time you want by opening it manually. 

The program also comes with a built-in audio player that also comes with a graphical depiction of the audio data. Audiophiles will notice that it doesn't show waveform data in the graph but instead displays audio data. Here, you can perform simple edits such as dividing, cutting, copying, or pasting. You can also use a number of different selection methods, such as setting a beginning and endpoint, drag selection, or numerical selection. There are some more precise editing tools as well, letting you move the selection one frame, trim it, and more.

None of these edits are particularly complicated, but it was never advertised as such. MP3DirectCut easily delivers on its promises.
