Flash games were like the wild west. During the time they were around, modern game design in and of itself wasn't fully fleshed out. Sure, there were a couple of soft rules, but experimentation was everywhere.  Flash games were and are the most experimental games you can play around as they don't really care what's "right" and what's "wrong". Some of the most unique games out there started out as flash games. Creeper World: User Space proves that a good community can keep a game alive.

Just like the first game, you have to expand throughout the territory while fending off malicious goo to reach and power three different totems to win. This ends up playing as a tower defense and strategy hybrid, needing tactics and decision making as well as just sitting there and waiting.

The main change this expansion brings is that it is fully made from community maps. What makes this interesting is that the community has a very different design philosophy from the main creator of the series, letting you experience the game from different points of view. 

All in all, Creeper World: User Space proves that it is an incredibly solid game that has a ton of design philosophies available for its incredible formula. The formula was so strong that it holds up even across dozens of maps across the main game and two expansions.
