Madness Combat is one of the most popular flash series of all time. Its simple yet iconic art style, creative choreography and kills, and memorable setpieces have propelled it into stardom. Practically everybody on Newgrounds at least knows of it in passing, and it's so popular that it has its own official holiday on Newgrounds. A ton of games related to the franchise have been created over the years, and one of the few officially supported by the mind behind the franchise is Madness Interactive.

To install Madness Interactive, simply run the file in whatever SWF player you have.

The controls are simple. You just have to move your mouse to control your hand, A and D to move around, left click to pick up weapons and attack, W to jump and double jump, E to swap weapons, F to let go of your weapon, and Q to activate bullet time. The main thing that sets this game apart from many others is the mouse controlling the hand. To perform melee attacks, you have to actually swing your hand around at a high velocity to deal damage to people. 

There are also different modes. There is a story mode, a challenge mode, and an experiment mode. Story mode has you playing through the events of Madness Combat 2, while Challenge mode gives you a series of restrictions to work in. Experiment mode lets you spawn in enemies and weapons so you can play around how you like.

There are some issues with the game related to poor game design. It's all too easy for enemies to stunlock you into death. However, Madness Interactive is still incredibly fun to play.
