Flash games were the precursors to many parts of the gaming industry today. The creativity and willingness to experiment has translated over to the indie games industry, many design elements that are used in AAA games today were first observed in flash games, and the casual nature of many flash games has translated over to the mobile game industry. However, these flash games also reflected on the state of the game industry as a whole as well. One of them is Strike Force Heroes 3.
To install Strike Force Heroes 3, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
Unfortunately, as stated before, this game series reflects on the state of the industry as a whole at the time. What that means for this entry, however, is that there are unfortunately a lot of mechanics added that do little but pad time. There is a stamina system for each individual hero, long grind times for each hero, and an upgrade system that has a random chance to downgrade your gear. What's truly bizarre is that many of these mechanics are mechanics that mobile games use to waste your time and entice you into spending money, but there's no microtransactions to be had.
That said, the core gameplay is still incredibly solid and features some fantastic moment to moment gameplay. It's just a shame that it uses so many mechanics that are nothing but anti-fun in rather bizarre ways. It's truly baffling why some of the design decisions were made. If you think you can look past that, then give Strike Force Heroes 3 a try.
