Flash games were the precursors to many parts of the gaming industry today. The creativity and willingness to experiment has translated over to the indie games industry, many design elements that are used in AAA games today were first observed in flash games, and the casual nature of many flash games has translated over to the mobile game industry. Infectonator 2 is a great evolution on the addictive original and proves how flash games can truly be fantastic.

To install Infectonator 2, simply run the file in whatever SWF player you have.

Like in the original, you deploy a virus and watch as your newly created zombies do their thing and kill everybody around the map. You then collect gold coins by hovering your mouse over them so you can purchase upgrades. However, unlike the first game, the player has a lot more options than the virus and grenades. There are now extra weapons in addition to grenades, such as land mines and infectious goo. You can also deploy special zombies, which all have their own unique quirks and abilities.

The upgrade system is also much more in-depth. You can upgrade all your tools, but the standout is how you can upgrade all of your special zombies as well. These upgrades get very in-depth, and it starts feeling closer to an RPG than a simple, entry level strategy game.

All in all, Infectonator 2 is still incredibly fun even to this day and has unlock systems that satisfy throughout the whole game.
