HELLBEATS MOD 1.2.1

Friday Night Funkin' has been a massive hit among the gaming community. It is insanely stylish while also hitting the nostalgia switch with its art style. It's also incredibly moddable, with practically every asset it has being editable. The community has created some amazing mods and one of them is HELLBEATS MOD, which changes each song into being incredibly - and stupidly - difficult.

To install HELLBEATS MOD, simply drag and drop the files from the mod into the folder where you extracted the original game files.

This mod recolors every character in order to make things "feel more fresh" as well as remixes every song in the game to make them far more difficult and unfair. In fact, the maps are designed in a way that trying to use the song as a base will actually screw you over. It's filled with notes that are only very loosely based on the original song.

That's by design, of course. There are actually two different versions of the mod because people complained that it went way over the top in terms of unfairness. I don't even know if I can criticize it, because it completely says in the description that it's supposed to be unfair and unfun. But just because it owns the fact doesn't make the mod any more fun to play through, which is definitely something that I can criticize.

Outside of that, though, HELLBEATS MOD is only for the masochists in the community. It's not particularly fun and is difficult for the sake of being difficult.
