Sonic fan games are some of the strangest beasts out there. During its most popular era, there was a ton of fan content, most of which are shoddily made or incredibly "edgy". The Final Fantasy Sonic X series is no stranger to any of these fan content tropes. In fact, it might seem like one of the worst offenders of it. However, like the other prolific Sonic RPG Flash series, it improves dramatically as the developer gains experience. Let's look at Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 3.
To play Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 3, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
You'll notice a significant improvement to the presentation of this entry. The UI is now better designed and uses colors that don't really offend the eyes, and there's even a neat pre-battle cinematic pan that really helps set the stage and hype you up for what's about to happen.
The story has the team work together with Link to acquire a gem of Chaos, which is apparently different from the Chaos Emeralds from Sonic's universe. Regardless, it lets him turn into Super Sonic. However, the episode ends with him having to face off a guardian on his own as his allies split off to pursue Aeon.
All in all, Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 3 is when the series starts getting good, but the next episode is where it truly comes into its own.
