The Zombie Apocalypse Mod 1.0.4

Minecraft is known for its large modding community and many available mods for the game that enhance the gameplay and functionality of the game. In this modification, the single player survival aspect of the game is changed to emulate a zombie apocalypse. A ton of features that come with the mod make it one of the best zombie apocalypse mods available that is packed with hours of fun to attempt to survive an endless apocalypse in the Minecraft world.

The survival aspect of the game has one mission when you use this mod: Survive an endless zombie apocalypse. There is only one mob you will see when you use this mod, and that are zombies. Even villagers have a 50% change to spawn as a zombie when you use this mod in Minecraft. Zombies will spawn much more frequently, can survive daylight, and their size, speed, strength, and texture are completely random. 

The textures in the game are also changed to reflect the zombie apocalypse that the mod emulates. A lot of the in game textures are changed to have a more worn out, dead look as to add to the already scary gameplay of the zombie apocalypse modification. There are also new melee weapons that you can create in the game which make surviving in the zombie apocalypse a lot more fun. 

You not only have to eat, you have to drink as well. You must learn how to turn the polluted water in the game into purified water so you may continue to live in the game. This gives you an extra objective to survive in the game, as if it wasn't hard enough with all the zombies running around. 

It is worth noting that this modification has not been updated in quite some time. You must be running Minecraft 1.5.2 for this mod to work properly. The developer has claimed they are working on a new version at this time. 

With all that said, this is a fun and challenging modification for Minecraft that will entertain you for hours and hours. Try it out!
