Stick figure animation is the genre that one can truly say grew rapidly in popularity on the internet. The incredibly simplistic figures made it possible for one man animator to create some of the most beautifully choreographed fight scenes that is incredibly difficult to recreate on more detailed models. One of the most famous stick figure series is Xiao Xiao, which encompassed both animations and games. One of them is XiaoXiao 9: Fight Man.

To play XiaoXiao 9: Fight Man, all you need to do is run the SWF file with a player of your choice.

The controls for this game are incredibly simple. Use the arrow keys to move around, press Z to box, X to jump, and C to protect. While protect sounds like a guard, it's actually a crowd control attack where your character spins around and knocks everybody back.

From here, you have to fight your way through a gorgeously rendered background of a computer desktop setup. This gives the entire game a feeling similar to Toy Story, where the most mundane things to us is the setting of some intense battles. It gives the game a certain charm that's hard to find.

All in all, if you're a fan of beat-em-ups, you should give XiaoXiao 9: Fight Man a shot. It's not exactly deep, but it's high quality when you consider it came out in 2002.
