It's also incredibly moddable, with practically every asset it has being editable. The community has created some amazing mods, but one of the best is the VS Zardy mod, which is one of the most challenging songs in the game.

This mod features a full cutscene and an entirely original song as well as note tracks for it. It features the character Zardy, which is the main nemesis in the indie game Zardy's Maze, whose developer is one of the people behind this mod. This is specifically noted to be one of the most challenging songs ever made for the game, but have it still be fair. I think it lives up to that - while I personally managed to stumble through Ballistic after two tries, I still can't complete this song.

It also shares the same note mechanic revamp as the Whitty mod did, making you deal less damage and take more. All of these factors combined makes this mod a little too challenging for the average player. However, it does also fix the original game's problematic note hit registration.
