UC Browser might not be a household name for PC users yet, but it's become more widely known throughout the mobile market throughout the years. Its attractive yet simple interface and loads of customization made it leagues better than many other browser offerings on your phone. However, how well did it make its transition over to desktop? That's what I'm here to look at.
UC Browser is based on the Chromium browser, while adding a ton of little improvements here and there. It's not noted in the installation stage, but it automatically imports almost all of your Chrome settings into itself. Its drive to look different from the crowd stands out incredibly early. The installer itself is more visually appealing than many other installers nowadays. Before you click install, however, you should take a look through its settings. If you're not careful, you may accidentally set it as the default browser or send data to the developer without meaning to.
There are two interfaces you can select from. One of the styles resembles the Opera speed dialbrowser, while the other looks like a more muted and compressed Chrome browser. The speel dial browser features several default shortcuts to the most popular websites on the internet like Youtube, Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Pinterest all contained in their own little circle against a beautiful background. You can change any of these links and their position on the screen whenever yo uwant.
Otherwise, it works almost exactly like Chrome and Chromium - reliable, fast, and safe. Three things all great browsers have.
