Typing Master 10

I consider myself a pretty fast typer. On Typeracer, I have a fast enough WPM to be considered a "Megaracer" (over 80+ WPM) and have surpassed the point where they have me take a typing test to verify that I am as fast as their system says I am. However, I notice that I'm being held back by my typing accuracy, and Typing Master brought that to the forefront.

On bootup, you'll notice that this program's design harkens back to the early 2000s. It looks old. This could be a nostalgia trip to some, but it was just a distraction to me. The free version comes built in with only one lesson, the typing meter, a limited custom review, a typing test, three games, and your stats. The typing lessons were just basic exercises focusing on one row of the keyboard, where you type four letters in sequence before pressing spacebar repeatedly. It was surprisingly difficult, and I learned that I had issues when it came to finger allocation.

Typing Master also comes with a widget that puts itself on your screen and tracks your typing throughout the day. It was easy to ignore but also easy to focus on when you needed to. The program then uses the information it's gathered throughout the day to give you a custom review, letting you know which words and letters you find difficult.

The free version doesn't come with much, but it comes with enough. I recommend Typing Master to anybody who wants to try it out - there's no harm.
