The Tenth Line demo is a 2D side scrolling, pixel art, RPG and turn based battle game where you mostly play as a princess who was kidnapped and taken to a land far away from her home country, after escaping from her kidnappers the princess makes two allies a kind of fox like creature and a dragon type creature, at first she refers to them as beast men but later learns their names and they promise to try to return her safely to her kingdom in the hope of receiving fame and riches for their heroic deeds.
The princess is an accomplished sword fighter, the fox type of creature is spry and fast in the fight and the dragon guy can breathe not just fire but many other things based on what the situation calls for, when you enter the battle scene you are given a choice of cards as to which attack you want to use against your enemies and can apply one to each character which can then be used to attempt to defeat whichever current enemies you are facing.
The Tenth Line shows a huge amount of promise and has great retro look and feel to it the only flaw and this is personal and could possibly be some people’s favorite part of the game but there is a lot of battles and sometimes this can detract from the flow of the storyline as it is a very intriguing one and it does seem to get broken up very often in the battle sequences which it probably could have done with missing out one or two here and there.
Aside from that the game shows a huge amount of promise and RPG fans should have a great time playing it.
