The Circle 1: 29 Abandoned School Review

Warning: You need to have a program capable of running an SWF file to play this game. You can click here to find one such program right here on our website.

Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. There are a ton of flash game creators that got into the craze, with Ena Game Studio being one of many. Let's look at one of their games, The Circle 1: 29 Abandoned School.

To play The Circle 1: 29 Abandoned School, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

There are a ton of languages that you can choose from, but I can only speak for the quality of the English translation, which is...passable. It's understandable, but not grammatically correct all the time. Fortunately, that only affects the opening blurb. In this entry, the Creator is exorcising a dark soul from a creepy abandoned school. The slowly changing appearance of your angel is a great form of storytelling that also acts as a catch-22.

The music and sound effects stand in stark contrast. As usual, the music is good but the sound effects sound like they come straight out of a Saturday morning cartoon. It's still incredibly out of place and detracts from the experience.

The puzzles themselves are fairly fun and well-designed, however. There are not that many parts where you have to pixel hunt and each puzzle is straightforward, which is impressive.

All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then The Circle 1: 29 Abandoned School is very worthy of your time. You won't regret your choice if you give this game a shot.
