Steam Heart 1.0

Steam Heart is a retro style run and gun platform game, it’s fast paced and bullets will fly everywhere it doesn’t get particularly challenging until the third level or so but this is quite helpful to let you get used to the game and the controls. The button system is a little strange it’s the normal arrow keys to move however to shoot is shift and to jump is Ctrl which took me a while to work out.

Fans of retro games should enjoy this immensely however personally I wasn’t very impressed with a look of it but if you’re in to that kind of vintage steam punk style and if you miss playing the Sega Megadrive then this is a game that is definitely for you.

One thing that is very enjoyable about Steam Heart is the amount of different weaponry you can gain while playing ranging from high powered guns to flame throwers.

Be aware the enemies come thick and fast and there is not a moment respite in the game, each level also features a boss at the end who get progressively more difficult as you get further in to the game.

Steam Heart is a pretty cool game if you’re in to old fashioned style games, but due to the short space of time it was created within it is not particularly long and you should be able to complete it within 15-20 minutes.
