PowerToys 0.13

How many of you actually remember Windows 95? For the few of you who raised your hand, do you remember the Windows PowerToys that came with it? It was an incredibly intuitive and useful set of tools that let you tweak and streamline their Windows experience and streamline their productivity. Well, Microsoft has recently brought it back for modern Windows 10 users, and it's just as useful as before.

PowerToys has a short installation procedure that's as straightforward as they come. Do note that you need to be running at least Windows 10 Build 17134 or higher for it to run. The app has 4 main sections: General Settings, FancyZones, PowerRename, and Shortcut Guide. 

General Settings is pretty simple compared to the others. It provides you with the option to enable or disable the other three features, as well as set the app to automatically start at system login, and choose between 2 color settings, Light and Dark.

The PowerRename feature is pretty self-explanatory - it lets you advanced bulk rename things using a search and replace function. Another add-on is FancyZones, which lets you create grids on your desktop that automatically resize all windows you put in them to fit. Lastly, there's a Shortcut Guide that has a  neat overlay with dynamic shortcuts for all active windows and apps when you simply hold down the windows button. This is perfect for optimizing your workflow.

All in all, PowerTool is one of the best things Microsoft has released in a long time for the functionality of modern Windows.
