Portable Fastcopy Review

The default windows explorer does its job pretty well. In fact, if you've remembered all your keyboard shortcuts, it works near flawlessly. The only slowdowns it has are during searches through giant drives...and apparently, copying files. Portable Fastcopy aims to help with the latter issue. However, if your computer's already relatively fast at copying files, you'll find little of use here.
The installer itself had very broken English, and it continued on into Portable Fastcopy itself. It seems like a fully machine translated piece of software. It's possible to understand the general gist of everything, though. The Help file, thankfully, is perfectly legible. However, the terms are now instead incredibly technical, making it difficult for newcomers to use. It's laden with jargon that would be familiar with veteran users, but newcomers will likely be lost.
Since this is a portable program, you can install it onto your USB drive and bring it around with you wherever you want. This is useful because too many programs write files to your operating system and thus can't be moved to another computer easily.
The interface itself is incredibly basic...in fact, if you were to ask me how to simplify it further, I genuinely wouldn't know what to suggest. Everything is so minimal already that to simplify it further would be removing features. In some personal tests I ran, I found that files under 500 MB had similar transfer times, but Portable Fastcopy started edging out after that. If you constantly transfer large files, then this program is for you!
