Friday Night Funkin' has been a massive hit among the gaming community. It is insanely stylish while also hitting the nostalgia switch with its art style. It's also incredibly moddable, with practically every asset it has being editable. The community has created a ton of mods. A bunch of them imports characters from other series. One of them is the Playable Skeleton Boyfriend mod.
To install Playable Skeleton Boyfriend, simply drag and drop the files from the mod into the folder where you extracted the original game files.
This mod replaces every week except for week 6 with a fully animated version of the skeleton boyfriend from the game over screen. As the mod description reads, you can't get the game over screen if you are the game over screen!
This also has a surprising amount of effort put into it. The boyfriend has different animations depending on whether or not the wind is blowing like in week 4, and you can see his little shadow hair waving in the background. One extra little detail in the animations is the er..blue ball physics. They swing around whenever he moves and it's...quite noticeable. Depending on your sense of humor, this can be one of the funniest things you'll see in the game.
Regardless, in comparison to a lot of other Friday Night Funkin' mods so far, this visual makeover definitely has a ton of effort put into it. Playable Skeleton Boyfriend is a fantastically fun visual mod that really makes a concept that doesn't sound too interesting pretty darn interesting.
