Friday Night Funkin' was a smash hit when it came out over a year ago, and took the gaming scene by storm. It is insanely stylish while also hitting the nostalgia switch with its art style. Even now, its modding community is still going strong for a good reason. The incredible modability along with the relatively simple engine lends it incredibly well to modders. The community has created some amazing mods, and one of the higher quality ones out there is Mistful Crimson Morning.

To install Mistful Crimson Morning, simply drag and drop the files from the mod into the folder where you extracted the original game files.

This mod features a ton of creepy stuff happening to the boyfriend and girlfriend during a visit to the Bikini Bottom. They run into Squidward who's on his way back from a failed concert and he quickly goes insane and starts brandishing a shotgun underwater somehow. Like most horror mods for this game, there are a lot of gimmicks that will kill you if you fail to follow a rule. In this case, it's pressing space whenever Squidward starts firing at you to dodge. And there are far more creepyasta Spongebob foes to rap against in this mod.

This mod also uses the Psych Engine, meaning most of the hit registration issues that you'll find in the base unmodded vanilla game that are rampant are fixed. You won't find any random misses on notes you clearly hit and your stats will also be tracked live in the bottom.
