Loco 1.0

Loco demo is a fantastic musical platform game where you play as a mariachi player running through lands clearly inspired by Mexico and the wild west of the USA, the game is more or less non-violent which makes a nice change although some of the scenery and noise effects can be quite overwhelming and scary in a game where the title character is so cute, especially when he picks up his little piñata sidekick!

Although you playing as the main character have no powers to fight there are enemies who can hurt you and you will have to learn to time your jumps to avoid them.

You soon find yourself up a mountain and your jumping skills will need to be put to good use so that you can make your way across rickety wooden bridges which then become not so much just rickety but also missing wooden slats across them so you have to jump between the missing slats and use your timing so as not to fall to your death.

Loco is full of wonderful artwork and music and although some parts are quite graphic it looks like an edgy Disney cartoon which is no bad thing at all and it’s incredibly playable and is a reminder of how platform games should be.
