Media players are some of the most important entertainment programs on your computer, as you won't be able to do a lot with media files without them. Most OSes available nowadays have a built-in one due to how important it is, but these are missing many crucial features. For instance, creating playlists is a pain and you can't move them to any other platform. HTMLMediaPlayer aims to fix this problem by tying media players to browsers instead of OSes.

To install HTMLMediaPlayer, you'll need to unzip the archive to any folder you want, run the executable, select a media source folder, create a folder on whatever target device you want to move it to, and copy the content over. Full instructions can be found in the included manual.

This is an incredibly unusual media player in that it lets you create and export playlists to any operating system, including pretty much all mobile platforms. Besides the export feature, you can also create your own custom player layout by using any image you want to use as a background.

Since it's compatible with any OS, as listed on the developer's website, the program's only requirement is that you need to use it with HTML5-based browsers.
