First Cut Review
Last Updated: 2017-10-16 08:08:27
First Cut is a simple low poly sword fighting game which can be played locally with a friend or solo against the computer, the premise is very simple two sort of ninja looking dudes attack each other with swords the first to strike a clean hit wins the round.
Although the game is fairly simple and there’s not much in the way of variation it is a lot of fun and it’s good to see a sword fighting game, a genre that it would be nice to see a few more games of around.
Although there is not much variation in the characters or moves you can end up having some pretty cool volleys of parries as your swords clash together and the constantly changing background meaning you have fights in all weathers and all seasons keep First Cut interesting throughout and make for a really enjoyable game.
The developer Drasnus put this all together in a short space of time and is still developing it further so it is a little rough around the edges, however for ease of play and a game you can just jump straight in to whether it’s with a friend or against the computer this is a game that is well worth checking out, it probably won’t keep you riveted for hours but is a fun way to pass a few minutes.
