Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is Ears of the Killer, a game with an incredibly unique visual style.

To play Ears of the Killer, simply unzip the files into a folder and run the executable.

This game is one of the strangest in the series. It once again follows BB as she gets into another zany horror adventure. This time, she accidentally starts a career in music, while somehow dragging her best friend ZZ into the whole ordeal along the way.

What's more, ZZ is actually playable in this entry! That makes her the first other playable protagonist in the game, and she makes for a fantastic foil to BB. While BB is oddly blase about everything and takes everything in stride, ZZ is scared and constantly asking questions that she never gets answers to. It makes ZZ a character that's more relatable in this topsy-turvy world.

One of Ears of the Killer's best assets is the visual style. It's an incredibly charming and well-thought-out blend of 2D and 3D and definitely sticks with you after you're finished with a playthrough of it. If any of that sounds interesting to you, then you should definitely give it a playthrough.
