Drive 1.0

Drive is a driving game based on the unreleased yet much sought after and fairly legendary game Desert Bus (originally part of the magicians Penn and Teller’s Smoke and Mirrors game) in which you drive a bus from Tucson Arizona to Las Vegas Nevada in real time lasting around 8 hours with barely any scenery and Drive has gone for the same simplistic approach and a very similar visual style although there is a little more scenery in this game than the one that influenced it but not much!

The loading screen gives you a choice of fantastic looking fast cars but they are all locked and the only one in your price range is an old pick-up truck with a top speed of 96 miles per hour and whether or not the other cars can really be unlocked we were never able to find out as if it does take a lot of influence from Desert Bus then it would have been hours to complete that first journey but whether or not you’re actually rewarded for making it to the end you will have to find out for yourselves.

The game is very simple as you may have gathered and there is nothing particularly exciting here but those of you who enjoyed the mundanity of Desert Bus are going to love Drive, it’s ever so slightly younger brother.
