Clash of Clans started a massive wave in mobile gaming. Now, the app stores are absolutely flooded with clones of the game that feature the same gameplay loop of building a town and recruiting an army. However, many of these games do nothing but simply copy the game and do nothing else. Dragon Lords does its best to stand out by adding dragons to the mix.

The main gameplay loop is very similar to Clash of Clans. The main goal is to build a large base and use it to train the troops needed to take over other bases. These bases are controlled by other human players, and it's very likely that you will be going against players that have more experience and game time than you, despite the game doing its best to matchmake better.

Of course, there are also dragons. Dragons are your ultimate weapon, a nuclear deterrent in a medieval era. The dragons are powerful hero units that are many times more effective than your army, and winning battles can often come down to deploying them well enough that it can take out the enemy base.

Overall, however, much like Clash of Clans, this game is much like Clash of Clans. It appeals more to casual players than more hardcore players and doesn't have enough depth to hold attention. If you can look past all that, however, Dragon Lords is a fine game.
