Desert Child 1.0

Desert Child is a racing and kind of life simulation where nothing is free and you will need to make sure there is cash in your pocket to keep yourself from going hungry by buying Ramen noodles and also to do repairs to your hover bike to keep it in racing condition. You start off with a very small amount of money so you might also find that you need to go to the pawn shop and sell some of your ammo so you can at least afford to eat and therefore race.

The racing itself is fun although the graphics are in a very low poly style and one small qualm is having alt as the boost button being right next to the windows key you may find yourself accidentally returning to the home screen when you’re trying to gain a lead in the race which can be slightly frustrating but that aside this is a unique game that’s not just about the high octane racing but also trying to survive life outside of the race courses.

Desert Child features races on deserts and water among other places and a very cool and fitting soundtrack makes the backdrop to what is a very original and fun game. The game is still in development so it’s likely further improvements will be made.
