Christmas Eve at the Spiders Hotel 1.0

Low-budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to dazzle the audience with beautiful graphics, they instead need to focus on something else to stand out. These restrictions can lead to some very creative premises. Let's look at Christmas Eve at the Spiders Hotel.

To install Christmas Eve at the Spiders Hotel, simply unzip the files inside the archive into any folder you want.

The game has one voice actor, who does a fantastic job at conveying the tone of the game. He hardly tries to hide the fact that this is a silly game, luring you into the Spiders Hotel with some nonsensical logic about it actually being about the kids. 

You're here to fill stockings out with Christmas presents. The only problem is the spiders are constantly popping out of doors, weakened walls, and the like. This both creates an engaging gameplay experience while also keeping the goofy tone, as the spiders are low poly blobs with stick legs that contrast with the high-poly environment and firearm.

After you're finished filling out all the stockings, you will need to get to the sleigh on the roof, which is just a red car. The game, unfortunately, cuts out so we don't get to see you actually drive the thing (possibly right off the roof). Oh well, we can imagine.

All in all, Christmas Eve at the Spiders Hotel is an incredibly unique game that everybody should check out.
