Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid-size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. One creator that stood out for their high production quality is Esklavos. Let's look at an entry in one of their many series, Caila Raven and the Ritual.

To play Caila Raven and the Ritual, you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

This is an episodic series revolving around an inspector who has to solve various crimes. In this entry, students have gone missing with a scroll that enables them to do a forbidden ritual. The gameplay revolves around you solving puzzles and finding items in a picturesque environment.

The production quality is a little lacking compared to the other games by the studio, but the graphical style is so beautiful that it could easily be mistaken for photorealism.

All in all, Caila Raven and the Ritual is a fantastic entry to the series and will introduce you to a ton of different concepts that the future chapters will build on.
