Blade of Agony 3.1

DOOM is one of the oldest FPSes in existence, and its engine is famously so robust that it can run on pretty much anything and also create pretty much anything.  From FPSes to RPGs to companions to a city living game, it has a ton of different mods that can all do different things. One of the more unique ones out there is Blade of Agony.

To install Blade of Agony, you need to have GZDoom. Then, copy the .pk3 file into the GZDoom folder and drag it on top of the GZDoom.exe to start playing.

This game, unlike many DOOM mods, is a fully featured narrative-driven FPS much like Call of Duty or Wolfenstein. It uses a combination of low-poly models and high resolution sprites to make a very unique look that truly harkens back to the days of the early 2000s. There are thirty full levels in this game, which is a shocking amount of content for a mod.

There's also a ton of exploration involved for you to find secrets, easter eggs, new weapons, and more. And to top off on that whole narrative drive, it even has an orchestra-quality soundtrack and lots of voice acting. 

This game feels like a fantastic throw back to the FPS games of old and somehow manages to combine Call of Duty and Wolfenstein with DOOM paced gameplay and managed to somehow avoid making it feel like it's mashed together.

Overall, Blade of Agony is an incredibly impressive total overhaul mod that the DOOM mod community has been getting known for.
