Do you like having a really personalized desktop? What if we went one step further and let you completely customize what your operating system itself could look like? There are plenty of programs out there that let you do that, but the one that we want to talk about today is Winaero Tweaker.

The installation process for Winaero Tweaker is nice and straightforward. There's one page that asks you if you want to install it or install a portable version. The portable version can be put on a USB, but won't show up on any uninstaller.

The first thing you'll notice is how simplified and intuitive the interface is. The tabs this program has are Appearance, Behavior, Boot and Logon, Desktop and Taskbar, Context Menu, Settings and Control Panel, and more. All of these are rather self-explanatory, and each modifies a certain section of the OS. We won't be able to cover everything, but I will tell you about the part that you're probably most interested in - the visual changes.

For instance, you can select an Aero Lite theme, which will recolor the entire OS. The title cards of your windows will change color, and you can modify it at any point. You can also select custom accents and adjust the horizontal and vertical spacing for icons.

There's also non-visual stuff you can change.You can also stop the OS from automatically looking for updates in the store among other things. Winaero Tweaker is an incredibly versatile program  that, thankfully, is totally free.
