Final Fantasy Tactics pretty much reinvented the strategy RPG genre. The class system and the strategic gameplay forced players to focus on positioning and class combos to succeed. However, for whatever reason, this genre was deemed to be a strictly single-player experience for a long time, despite its class system lending itself well to an MMO format. While Dofus paved the way for this MMORPG strategy gameplay, Wakfu Online refines and expands it in many important ways.

To install Wakfu Online, make sure you have Ankama Launcher installed. Then, click on Wakfu Online's icon on the left side and then click install. Follow the instructions and you're done.

The environment is as colorful as Dofus, and even more alive than that game. The design, atmosphere, and style is incredibly confident in its direction and it shows. The only flaw is that when you zoom in, you'll notice significant pixelation.

The combat is much the same as Dofus, so check our review for that. What's worth talking about is the player affected living world. Plants don't grow on their own - players have to plant seeds they collect to replenish the world's fauna. This comes into play in the national PvP politics of the game - sabotaging and specifically targeting your enemy's plants to drown out their resources is a very viable strategy. Each nation is also ruled by a player elected governor who can enact laws, set taxes, and play out real life nepotism.

The politics of this game is so incredibly unique that it's hard to not give praise for it.
