Low-budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to dazzle the audience with beautiful graphics, they instead need to focus on something else to stand out. These restrictions can lead to some very creative premises. Let's look at Those Who Crawl.

To install Those Who Crawl, simply unzip the files inside the archive into any folder you want.

The premise is simple. You play as a spelunker who's the first to explore a newly discovered cave, and gets trapped inside almost immediately. The entire game takes place in caves too compact for you to stand up in, so the movement is exclusively handled by pressing the left and right mouse button to use your hands to crawl forward.  This means that there is no backwards movement and you can only ever move forward - and only by keeping a good rhythm going.

It also makes the moments where monsters show up scary, because your only move is to crawl forward and pray that you're faster than the creature. This makes chases a lot tenser than most horror games.

There is also a climbing system, where you have to find handholds to latch onto or cracks to stab your knife into. Moving in this game takes a lot more effort than most games, which is great because it's what you'll be doing for most of the game.

All in all, Those Who Crawl is an incredibly unique horror game that everybody should check out.
