As technology progresses, old programs will be left behind. System infrastructure will make them fundamentally incompatible, and this has come with the unfortunate side effect of leaving some classic games and useful programs behind. While there are a ton of ways that modern OS developers have tried to fix that problem, such as Windows' different compatibility modes, but they don't always work. There are a ton of third-party programs to fix that, and one of them is Single CPU Loader.

Installation for Single CPU Loader isn't necessary, making it an incredibly portable application. You can drag and drop it easily onto any computer you want. More critically, it doesn't add more keys to the registry, which therefore won't contribute to any instability.

It's wrapped up in a user-friendly interface, based on one window and a few buttons. By using the file browser, you can easily locate any program you want to start up. After that, just hit the run button, and it will do its best to run the program with only one core. 

From this point onwards, you can use the program normally, as long as you're using the program to run it at the same time. A graph will show in the main panel, detailing what resources it's using as long as you're using Single CPU Loader to boot programs up.

All in all, this program offers a simple solution for older programs that can't be run on newer systems. It won't work 100% of the time, but works well as a backup strategy.
