Replica is a text based game where you are in possession of a suspected teenage terrorist’s cell phone, first you must crack the pin code to get in to the cell phone after which you will receive a call from homeland security who will instruct you on what you need to search the phone for.

These kind of found cell phone games, such as the excellent Sara is Missing are growing in popularity and this one should hold a similar appeal however the story line is not particularly engrossing and overall it was a fairly boring experience although there is some appeal in the problem solving element of the game there was no real shocking elements to it and it lacks in personality.

There is room for improvement in Replica definitely however it will appeal to a lot of people but an opportunity has been missed, what could have been a great game is fairly mediocre although considering it’s free there’s not too much to complain about.
