When you choose to delete your files on your PC, even when you empty your recycle bin, the actual data on the hard drive is not actually deleted. What actually happens is your computer overwrites the existing data with new data and makes it completely invisible. The space on your hard drive will tell you that's it's empty, but that data is still there taking up space until you actually need said space, at which point Windows will overwrite that data with your new data. Useful if you want to potentially recover it later, but infuriating if you want your computer to run at peak efficiency. That's where Remo File Eraser comes in.

The installation procedure for Remo File Eraser is straightforward and simple. When you boot it up, you'll notice four different buttons that lead to four different file deletion programs. Once you've decided which method to go with, simply point the app towards a location and it will get to work. The four modes are Erase Files/Folders, Erase Recycle bin, Erase Drive Free Space, and Erase Hard drive/Partition. Each of these modes does exactly what you think it does.

There are three main categories: Low, Medium, and High. Every segment has three different methods, and you can choose any you see fit. For example, there are DOD5220.22.M, N.A.T.O, and the Peter Gutman method. There are a couple of other programs that do the same, but Remo File Eraser is a fantastic program for erasing files that aren't installed on your computer.
