The computer registry is a database in the Windows OS that stores low-level settings. You'll need a third-party program to automatically scan and clean out these useless entries, and Registry Reviver is one of them.

The initial installation procedure for Registry Reviver is simple and straightforward. However, there is one odd tidbit, where it doesn't let you press the cancel button until the installation sequence is finished, making the presence of a cancel button...pointless?

The interface of the program is a standard window with a clean and intuitive layout, where the scan procedure is automatically initiated at startup. This program will show you a summary on the last scan, not repaired errors, total errors repaired to date, license status and version, alongside the PC hardware configuration.

It's possible to customize the scan process by choosing Registry areas to include, such as application paths, user shell folders, fonts, help files, and more.

The scan results will tell you exactly what's wrong with your registry, but the unlicensed version won't let you repair your computer. Thus, if you're not willing to drop money on a registry repair program (and you shouldn't, as there are plenty of free ones out there), you should start looking elsewhere. Registry Reviver is, however, fine if you buy it.
