Party Darling 1.1

Party Darling is an eccentric murder mystery game with a unique mini game built in to it.

Not long after you arrive at the party of the mysterious Omar Clean there is a murder and you must go round the party speaking to all the guests to try to obtain the information as to who the murderer was, the game has this cartoony look which is silly and fun and the techno soundtrack is kind of cool although probably a bit much for some tastes.

There is also a mini game that can be played with most people you speak to where you get in a verbal battle (or diss battle) and you must use the arrow keys to select between an insult or a compliment if you get it wrong too many times you will lose so you must try to make sure you are always saying the more cutting remark rather than the ambiguously nice one although the selection of words and insults can be very surprising and often hilarious, it’s very easy to get distracted and just play the diss game all the time and forget you are trying to solve a murder and although the game really is just and explore and chat kind of affair it looks good and is a lot of fun also there is some great dialogue written in to the chats. Party Darling is still in beta mode at the moment but for a free game its definitely worth checking out, you can download it for free here.
