Flash games were the precursors to many parts of the gaming industry today. This is a pretty familiar game if you've ever played Picross. It's intuitive enough that you don't even need to know Japanese to play this game, despite the fact that the whole game is in Japanese.

When you boot the game up, you'll only have one puzzle available. This puzzle is pretty simple to complete, with the game automatically Xing out blocks for you if you've completed a line and letting you know if you've made a mistake with no repercussions. Once you've finished that, however, you have to take on a harder puzzle that's bigger and won't tell you when you've messed up. This is where the real game truly starts, and it's a doozy.

All in all, Oekaki 4 is a great way to pass time. Picross has always been a very satisfying puzzle genre and this is no exception.
