Point and click adventure games generally sprawling and revolving around complex puzzles with multiple stages, and well as good character writing. Of course, Flash games are different. While the Monkey Go Happy series is known for short, quick, and simple puzzles, there clearly was some potential for bigger and more complex puzzles. Monkey Go Happy: Mini Monkeys is their attempt at a more traditional point and click puzzle games.

The opening of the game starts off very normally. You pick a monkey, pick a hat for them, and load into the level. Your goal is to find all fifteen of the mini monkeys scattered throughout the level, which you'll find is much larger than the average Monkey Go Happy level. There are multiple areas that you can go to, with some locked off until you solve a certain task, which is very normal for point and click games. This gives the game a very different flow from the main series, as it's focused more around exploration than speed clearing, though the score mechanic is still here.

All in all, Monkey Go Happy: Mini Monkeys is a very interesting take on the core gameplay mechanic of the main series, still focused on making monkeys happy.
