Missed Messages is a visual novel game that players should  be warned straight away covers some very dark themes such as self harm and suicide but it also covers kindness, friendship, loyalty and is incredibly beautifully hand drawn.

You play as young woman studying at college and receiving messages from another girl that you are romantically interested in, these kinds of games are always fun to live someone else's life and there is a certain voyeuristic pleasure in receiving and responding to messages that may be quite distant from your own reality, as well as this girl you have a beautiful roommate named May who you might also be romantically interested in.

Missed Messages has different outcomes depending on the choices you make throughout the game, which means it has a lot of replay value and as warned at the start of this review be aware that some of these outcomes can be very dark indeed, the great thing is that you can go back and play again until hopefully you get an ending you are happy with.

This interactive visual novel is beautifully animated, with a dark yet intriguing story line and that focuses on human emotion, a game not to be missed by visual novel fans.
