Like Roots in the Soil 1.0

Like Roots in the Soil is a short but very memorable story/simulation game which follows two men on two very different journeys but how their paths stories intertwine.

Using a very clever mechanic you can drag the mouse to each side of the screen which will then show you the animation of one of the two men the story follows and their current story text.

The story text is very well written and poetic throughout leaving a lot open to interpretation which is also very thought provoking.

The animation is excellent and although fairly simple is very effective and with the way the switch happens as you rotate across the screen it’s a very cool and interesting effect.

Like Roots in the Soil is a very innovative and interesting experience, which sadly can be played through in just a few minutes and the only flaw with this fantastic game is that it’s all over too quickly as we would have been very happy to enjoy this game for a lot longer.
