Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid-size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among Japanese flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. There are a ton of flash game creators that got into the craze, with Dassyutu being one of many. Let's look at one of their games, ICHO - Chapter 1.
To play ICHO - Chapter 1, just run it with whatever SWF player you have. If that doesn't work, then you should download Flashpoint and search the game up there.
The first impressions are surprisingly good. The whole game is rendered fully in 3D and whenever you click around, you're treated to an animation of your perspective changing. The story is about you playing as an astronaut in space following the orders of an AI because your space station has suffered an unknown error.
If you've played horror games set in space, you know that it's likely not going to end well. Regardless, the puzzles are incredibly fun to play through and while the game is short, there are 13 more episodes of this intriguing setting.
All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then ICHO - Chapter 1 is worth ten minutes of your time. It's a very worthwhile use of your time.
